- UKCPO is
an umbrella organisation for all photonics and technical optics
activity in the UK.
There are no individual members of UKCPO, it is made up of trade
and professional associations in the industry with all members
of the separate associations benefitting from affiliation.
The UKCPO web site features on line searching and browsing for
photonics expertise in the UK, as well as a "self help" notice
board, newsletters, etc.
Currently the UKCPO ALETT Project is a DTI, industry and academia
funded undertaking to construct the database and web site, so
companies, individuals and research groups can have their expertise
included at no expense to themselves
